MIDLAND, Mich. -- As the Official Sustainability Resource of the LPGA and the Ladies European Tour, Dow has remained committed to pioneering sustainability efforts and advancing Inclusion & Diversity initiatives through golf sponsorships on golf’s professional tours.
Through this commitment to fostering change, Dow first announced in 2024 the creation of the Team Dow initiative, where the company provides full sponsorship and support to four deserving female professional golfers as they fulfill their dreams of competing on the LPGA Tour and playing the game the love.
For 2026, Epson Tour players Lakareber Abe, Lauren Nguyen and Amari Avery and LPGA professional Gurleen Kaur will all be a part of Team Dow – The Next Generation.
The Team Dow initiative gives crucial support to alleviate the financial burden players face as they compete week-in and week-out on golf’s professional tours. Not only will these players receive financial support, but they will also have access to other opportunities such as mentorship from Dow executives, media training, and more.
“Playing golf on the professional stage is a dream come true, but with it comes the financial stress in continuing to achieve our goals and compete at the highest level. The support from Dow takes away so much of that weight and allows us to focus wholeheartedly on our golf games throughout the season,” said Abe. “It is an honor to be a part of Team Dow, and I look forward to continue representing Dow on and off the course.”
Kaur and Abe were a part of Team Dow’s inaugural class in 2024. Both will be in the field this week at the Dow Championship. Kaur, who is in her third year on the LPGA Tour, will compete in her third consecutive Dow Championship, teaming up this year with Hira Naveed. Abe, competing full time on the Epson Tour, enters the field on a tournament sponsor invitation, making her second appearance at the Dow Championship. She will be teaming up with Epson Tour professional and former Michigan High School State champion Sarah White.
The Dow Championship will be Nguyen’s second LPGA Tour event since turning professional following an All-American college career at Northwestern University, where she was a member of the 2025 NCAA DI Women’s National Championship team at Northwestern University. In her first year on the Epson Tour, Nguyen has gotten off to a strong start, making four cuts out of her five starts and earning two top-10 finishes.
Avery, currently ranked No. 1 in the “Race for the Card” standings on the Epson Tour, has had a strong 2026 season, making all six cuts, with three top-10 finishes and a win in the IOA Championship presented by Morongo Casino Resort and Spa in April.
All four players will be on site at the Dow Championship this week, representing Dow taking part in a variety of events and activities, gaining valuable experience and knowledge both on and off the course.
