Dow Championship Grant Applications Now Open

#TeamUp Grant Program Returns for 2026, Supporting Local Nonprofits

MIDLAND, Mich., Feb. 4, 2026 – Applications are now open for the 2026 Dow Championship #TeamUp grant program. Nonprofit organizations can apply online at dowchampionship.com/championship#community through 5:00 p.m. EDT on March 13, 2026. The program reflects the tournament’s ongoing commitment to giving back to communities across the Great Lakes Bay Region and has awarded more than $3 million to local nonprofits since its inception in 2019.

All 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations located within the Great Lakes Bay Region are eligible to apply for the #TeamUp grant program. Seven organizations will be selected from each of the region’s counties—Saginaw, Bay, Midland, and Isabella—with eight additional nonprofits selected based on their work serving multiple or all four counties. Grant funding will be distributed through this program, with each selected nonprofit guaranteed to receive a $4,500 grant.

“The Dow Championship is about more than hosting a sporting event; it’s about creating lasting impact across the Great Lakes Bay Region,” said Heather Gallegos, Community Relations Director at Dow. “Through #TeamUp, we proudly support organizations that strengthen our communities year-round.”

Participating nonprofit organizations can earn additional funding by volunteering at the Dow Championship or by participating in the tournament’s auxiliary events.

Nonprofits will be evaluated based on their impact in one or more of the following focus areas: science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) education; skilled trades; sustainability; and thriving communities. Once selected, each of the 36 nonprofits will be randomly paired with one of the 72 teams competing in the 2026 Dow Championship, an official LPGA Tour event.

The Dow Championship partners with local community foundations, including the Bay Area Community Foundation, Midland Area Community Foundation, Mt. Pleasant Area Community Foundation and Saginaw Community Foundation, to ensure nonprofit organizations across the Great Lakes Bay Region are aware of the charitable giving opportunities available through the tournament and to assist in the selection process.
